Stellwagen Bank is a solo for French Horn and Piano from the collection Scenes from the Cape.  This collection is dedicated to my brother, Jerry Nelson, who was a musician and puppeteer with the Muppets.

Stellwagen Bank is a National Marine Sanctuary that is just above Provincetown at the mouth of the Massachusetts Bay.  This piece was inspired by a whale watching trip there.  An advanced and an intermediate version of this solo is included with the download.  The Intermediate version is in the key of Concert Bb (the same key as most of the other instruments.)  This would be a great solo to play for students who need to work on their lower register.  The advanced version is in the key of Concert F and plays up to a 4^th line D.  Note the optional lower notes at the end of this version.
