About Us

  Marty Nelson is the founder and owner of MRNS Music which has been in business since 2014.  The goal of MRNS is to provide quality literature for the young wind and percussion instrumentalist.  Marty retired from 32 years of band directing from Arbor Creek Middle School in Carrollton, Texas in the spring of 2013.  He currently teaches trumpet lessons, serves as a judge and clinician, and writes music.

 

  Jerime Harris resides in the DFW area and has been teaching percussion and piano for 16 years.  He also currently teaches a million private students, two percussion classes, serves as a clinician for several high schools and middle schools in the area, serves as a music minister, and plays with area groups.  And writes brilliant accompaniments to Marty Nelson's awesome trumpet solos.

 

  Andrea Harrell (DMA)  is an active performer and teacher in the DFW metroplex. In addition to her large studio in Dallas, she also serves as Adjunct Professor of Clarinet at Sam  Houston State University in Huntsville, Tx.  Dr. Harrell currently performs as  principal of the Odysseus Chamber Orchestra and the New Life Symphony Orchestra. Dr. Harrell served as a consultant on the clarinet solos in the collection Scenes from the Cape.
