Cranberry Marmalade is a solo for Trombone and Piano from the collection Scenes from the Cape.  This collection is dedicated to my brother, Jerry Nelson, who was a musician and puppeteer with the Muppets.

Description: My brother loved many styles of music, so I thought I would write a rag time.  Articulation is a key element in this solo and there are a lot of syncopated rhythms in 2/4 time.  Endurance and range are a bit of a factor, too. This solo begins in the key Bb and moves to Ab towards the end.
